We are seeking a proficient Automation Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize automation processes in our mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in automation tools, scripting, and troubleshooting, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automation rules to manage system startup and shutdown processes, and stable monitoring operations.
- Configure and manage automation tools, including IBM SA390 and Broadcom OPSMVS.
- Develop and maintain configurations for alerts, message handling, and console management to streamline system operations.
- Create and optimize scripts using REXX, CLIST, and other automation languages to enhance system performance.
- Troubleshoot system automation issues, collaborating with vendors to obtain or create effective resolutions.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Proven Expertise in Building Automation rules and setting up system startup/shutdown processes and stable monitoring.
- Expertise in Handling IBM SA390 and Broadcom OPSMVS products is required.
- Expertise in Alerts, Messages, Console configuration, and management is required.
- Expertise in REXX, CLIST, and other Automation script languages.
- Troubleshooting system automation issues including working with vendors in obtaining/creating a resolution.
